Locked in a heavy pillory typical of the Chinese cangue, Lotus endures PD’s interrogation. What was in the purse? he keeps asking her, striking the soles of her feet then feeding Lotus sushi. The Purse is a lesson in torture, combining pain with nurturance – and how small pains accrue. Wasabi up her nose and rubbed on her pussy. Nose hook, metal bit, taser, and a bed of sharp spikes for her to stand upon. Over and over, the same question – What was in the purse?
